PullRite Hitch Conversion Adapter

This conversion adapter will be used when you purchase a used 5th wheel that has the old style weld on capture plate that can not be removed. This will “convert” the capture plate back to a standard so that any 5th wheel hitch can be used.

Scenario: You purchase a used 5th wheel that has a welded on universal capture plate AND you already have a Reese, Valley, Bulldog, etc. etc. 5th wheel hitch installed in your truck. This conversion adapter saves you from having to take out and install new rails in truck and also purchase a compatible PullRite hitch. **You MUST get the head of the hitch from the previous PullRite owner, the head IS required, not the body of the hitch** (The head is removable from the body via the 2 pins located on each side).

Example of how this works:
5th Wheel with weld on universal PullRite caprture plate – Head of PullRite hitch (head is removed from the body and left hanging on the kingpin) – Conversion Adapter (hooks in with the 2 pins used to remove the head and hangs under the old PullRite head where the body used to be located – you are now back to the standard kingpin that will hook into your currently installed 5th wheel hitch.
